FOUR SEASONS OF FUN IN HIGH PARK
The Toronto Skyline looking east from Suite #1602 of 50 Quebec Ave.
High Park is both a large public park as well as a neighbourhood: Bloor West Village & High Park, within the City of Toronto. The Real Estate surrounding High Park is primarily residential: A small strip of upscale houses along the east side of the park borders with the Roncesvales Area while luxury homes overlooking Grenadier Pond flank the park to the west. North of the park (Bloor Street West) is a select group of high-rise condominiums as well as upscale housing and high-rise apartment rentals.
As presented in the adjacent map of Ward 13 the High Park Area is well serviced by Fire, Police, Ambulatory and Health Services. Numerous Public facilities such as Schools, Day Cares Libraries, Community Centres and Swimming Pools are also prominent. The TTC services this area well: High Park is approximately 15 minutes travel by automobile from downtown Toronto or 20 minutes by subway train (Public Transit). The Grid Transportation Pattern of Toronto provides easy and fast access to such major roadways as: Bloor Street West, Parkside Drive to the Lakeshore Blvd. W. and thus the Gardiner Expressway, QEW & Highway 427 and Keele & Jane Streets providing access to the 400 series of Highways: #400 North and #401 (East & West).
A wide selection of shops serve the High Park Area. Convenience Stores to Specialty Shops; Delicatessans, Grocery Stores and Pizza Parlours; Pubs, Restaurants and other Eateries; Hardware Stores and `Big Box Stores; Health Food Stores and Liquor & Beer Stores. From local corner stores to those of the trendy Bloor Street West Village and the West Toronto Junction.
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION
High Park is a sought after locale for Real Estate in Toronto. In particular the York Condominium Corporations on Quebec Avenue have a history of selling quickly with most transactions at or above the asking price.
TRANSPORTATION ... High Park Living includes having a somewhat central Toronto location with excellent access to Toronto’s major transportation routes (major roads and highways) which serve the city to and from all directions: Minutes to the Gardiner Expressway for east and west highways along Lake Ontario and 15 -20 minutes for highways to the north and west. High Park Homes are condos and houses in which the residents often have a cottage or chalet. For example in non rush-hour it’s a 40 minute drive north to one’s Caledon Real Estate or 90 minutes to a Georgian Bay cottage or ski chalet. The highways surrounding Toronto serve as transportation spurs that lead to the many Ontario vacation areas such as Georgian Bay, Muskoka, Haliburton and The Kawarthas. Living in High Park means that you can be at the island airport within 15 minutes and Toronto’s Lester B. Pearson International Airport within 40 minutes (depending on the time of travel).
